This custom-made wardrobe was designed to combine formal rigor and material warmth, creating a functional and welcoming solution for children's daily lives.
The matte lacquered effect doors define a compact, clean, almost architectural volume. The surface is continuous, essential, without visual interruptions, to convey a sense of order and lightness. The vertical handles in solid natural oak become a graphic and material element: a warm detail that breaks the monochrome and dialogues with the wooden floor, creating coherence and continuity.
Child-friendly functionality
The design integrates a side open section, with an exposed side panel, designed for children's jackets and clothes.
A child-height hanging rail makes the wardrobe accessible and promotes daily autonomy and responsibility. The upper shelves complete the space for neatly storing accessories and seasonal changes.
Oak lower section for toys
The base of the wardrobe is designed in natural oak, with open compartments that lighten the volume and introduce a practical function: to hold toys, baskets, books, or frequently used objects.
This choice creates a double interpretation:
- above: closed, ordered, essential storage
- below: open, dynamic, lively space
The contrast between lacquer and natural wood reinforces the balance between modernity and tradition, between minimalism and domestic warmth.
