Grazie per esserti iscritta. Ti racconteremo del nostro mondo, della cultura di progetto dietro al nostro laboratorio.

We make it simple and sustainable to shape spaces you’ll truly love, with dedication and care in every detail.

THE STUDY

MADOTI is an independent design studio specializing in the design of spaces and furniture for children.

We work with families, architectural firms, brands, and hospitality businesses that share the desire to create environments capable of meeting children's needs, without compromising on aesthetic and design quality.

We believe that designing for childhood means viewing the world from a different perspective. It means understanding how children inhabit spaces, how they move, explore, play, and build their own relationships with their environment.

Our approach combines research, design sensitivity, and knowledge of production processes. Every project begins by listening to people and analyzing their needs, translating them into functional, recognizable solutions designed to last over time.

We do not just design furniture: we imagine new possibilities for inhabiting spaces for children.

From the initial idea to product development, we accompany our clients through all phases of the project. The presence of an in-house prototyping and production workshop allows us to experiment, verify solutions, and transform concepts into real objects and environments.

MADOTI is the place where design, research, and craftsmanship meet to shape an idea of space that puts children at the center.

THE CARPENTRY

Our carpentry workshop is the internal production department that translates the design into construction, with high standards and direct control over every step. We work with wood using artisanal skills and contemporary tools, combining execution precision, material quality, and attention to finishes.

We manage the entire process internally: selection of wood species, sampling, machining and assembly, finishing, and installation. This approach allows us to guarantee consistency between concept and realization, control over timing and details, and a result that is reliable over time.

We create custom-made furniture, storage systems, wood paneling, and small installations for residences, kids & family spaces, and hospitality, using a rigorous method and precise care for construction details.

ABOUT US

Valentina Bianco is a designer specializing in the design of spaces and furniture for children; she has a background in Product Design and Systemic Design and a Master's degree in Design for Kids & Toys. Alongside her professional work, she is a lecturer at the Politecnico di Milano, where she teaches Furniture Design for Kids and Strategic Design. She is responsible for the creative direction of MADOTI, overseeing research, concept development, and the design of spaces and products.

Cristiano Allio is a wood artisan who leads the workshop within the studio. His experience in material processing and furniture construction allows for the integration of production expertise from the very first stages of design, identifying technical and construction solutions that respect the identity of each project.

Two complementary skill sets, united by a common vision: creating quality spaces and products designed to accompany childhood and capable of establishing a lasting relationship with those who use them.

//IL NOSTRO TEAM

We always start with the people who will be using those spaces.

Environments designed for children, mountain chalets, city apartments, family hotels. We design and create everything in our atelier, from the first idea to the last screw, to create spaces that are beautiful to look at and simple to live in every day.

We support companies that want to communicate with children and families.

We design games, furniture, and small collections together with their teams. We work closely with design and production, transforming sketches and prototypes into concrete products, ready to enter homes and everyday spaces.

For trade shows, shops, and temporary installations, we build small worlds around products.

We consider pathways, lighting, and materials so that those who enter feel welcomed and immediately understand the brand's story. When needed, we even bring our carpentry workshop, allowing us to create bespoke pieces directly for that space.
